Marcia O'Connor is a native of Jamaica, W.I. She migrated to the USA in 1982. Although she grew up in the church, she walked away from God at the age of 18 years when she became pregnant and was dis-fellowshiped from the denomination.
She swore that she would never to attend church again, unless God himself spoke to her. In 1996 God did just that. While sitting on a bar stool in a night club, blue with smoke and holding a glass of whiskey, The Holy Spirit spoke to her telling her that she had been in the world long enough and it was time to come home.
Three months later she was invited to a crusade at the local church. Promising to attend, but having no plans to keep the promise she forgot about the invitation. God spoke to her reminding her of her promise. She attended the crusade and was apprehended by the Holy Spirit. She gave her life to God. The following day Marcia was baptized for the third time.
Her faith in God and devotion to his purpose and will for her life have superseded everything in her life. Years ago Marcia asked God why she had so many problems. He replied. "Your miseries will become your ministry".
RevampMyLife Ministries is a direct result of her many miseries, trials and tribulations. Armed with her personal testimonies Marcia started and operates a food pantry, clothes closet, and programs for raped, abused and post abortion women. She also directs mentoring programs for young men and women in the community.
Standing on His Promises is a teaching ministry which focuses on proclaiming God's Word through His Promises to the world. She enlightens people to the unchanging Word of God that ultimately glorifying God's name.
Marcia believes that every word spoken out of the mouth of God is true and that every promise made by God will be kept. His word will never go back to Him void; so, we must learn to trust in God instead of leaning on our own understanding. |
